Gikomba Market has been hitting the news for fire outbreak more often.
Is it the part of cartels The Governor of Nairobi was talking about that is responsible for frequent outbreaks of fire in the market?
The fire is believed to have started blazing at around 3 a.m in the morning. The cause of the fire is still not established.
Efforts to put out the fire began around 5 am.The traders have explained that the police and the fire team had not managed to put out the fire, with a section of the U&I bank still burning
