So have the politicians decided that Kenya’s Unity will be the end of their respective careers of is the media suffering from this cancer?

Members of Parliament allied to the Orange Democratic Movement [ODM] on Sunday warned the deputy president William Ruto against visiting the region without writing to them formally.

Kenyans have been quick to express their opinions with both the media and the politicians getting their bit of the attacks for ensuring that the masses remained divided for the sake of their survival.

However, some have laid the blame squarely on either side. Whatever the case it is clear that a united Kenya will leave some out of business and career. Kenyans must therefore stand and fight for peace!

It’s so sad to hear that media can propagate enemity. Media should play a key role in building national unity and cohesiveness. Indeed DP was warmly received in the land. Media should focus and lay amphasies on the positive rather than magnifying the negative.

Tribalism is what made the european countries conquer africa with colonialism. we africans have focused so much on our mother tongues we have forgotten we are all one ethnicity….and we will continue to disintergrate as long as we discriminate each other based on ethnicity.

ODM MPs and MCAs gave the DP’s tour a wide berth. Ruto was received to Homa Bay by former MP James Rege and in Migori by Governor Okoth Obado.

“We did not want to attend an event we were not invited to,” the ODM MP said.

Owino further said since the roads in question are yet to be allocated cash, there are risks they would be subject of ridicule if the same do not kick off as expected by locals.

“Take the case of the Mbita hospital. I would have preferred that the DP goes there with a solution – say an ambulance, other than a promise to initiate renovation works,” the lawmaker said.
