The national examinations are still on, with the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) kicking off today Monday November 5,2018 with the candidates undertaking theories.
The government has hence tightened security to curb the cheating and some of the cases witnessed in the just concluded KCPE exams that ended last week Thursday. Did you know that among people responsible for the pregnancies witnessed during the KCPE exams are teachers?
On Monday as KCSE exams kicked off, Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed confirmed that a teacher in Wajir was arrested in connection with a teenage pregnancy case, and a policy will be introduced in schools to deal with the rising cases.

The CS who was speaking today morning confirmed that strict measures had been put in place to see the process go on smoothly.
In this year’s KCSE exams, 664,585 candidates have started with a mathematics paper in the morning before they tackle chemistry in the afternoon, two days after rehearsals on Friday.
The test is being done across 10,077 centres.
Education yesterday also directed documentation of each process from collection of papers to when they are returned to the safety container at subcounty headquarters.
The documentation will be filed as a report and forwarded to a ministry official stationed at the headquarters at the Kenya National Examinations Council.
Center managers will be required to indicate the number of extra scripts issued during collection of the papers and the time papers are collected.
CS Amina was today morning in Mombasa, at the Mombasa sub county(Mvita) container supervising the issuance of KCSE examination materials. Te trend of sending different Cabinet Secretaries and government officials to oversee the process is still going on, and today Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich was at Moi Girls High School. Do you think the trend will see better results produced in this year’s exams?
