PHOTOS: Gor Mahia Players Treated Like Kings in Liverpool

Gor Mahia players are surely enjoying their stay at Liverpool if the photos doing rounds in the internet are anything to go by. Despite being visitors and in fact the opposing side, Gor Mahia are being treated like bosses. The team has been showered with utmost respect  and kindness.

Gor Mahia players were allocated a modern green bus that helps them move around Liverpool. It is the bus that actually took them to the USM Finch Farm training ground.

The team lauded the training ground with the head coaches wishing that the same facilities would have been made available in Kenya.

“This is absolutely amazing. Look at that grass, I mean if we had at least two of these back home, we would be unbeatable,” Gor Mahia FC assistant coach Zedekiah Otieno muttered.

His senior, Dylan Kerr joined in the conversation and said: “The quality of the pitch is amazing and seeing all these kids out to play on a Saturday morning brings joy to my heart.”

After training at Finch Farm, the players and staff enjoyed a sumptuous meal before they joined other Premier League Lovers to watch the clash between Everton and Brighton at Goodison Park.

Gor Mahia players also had a chance to undertake a medical with the experienced medical staff at Everton.

Gor Mahia, commonly referred to as K’Ogalo booked a second date with Everton after winning the Super Cup following a 2-0 victory over Simba SC in June.

The victory over the Tanzanian side came with a free ticket to Goodison Park to face Everton.

Gor Mahia however lost 2-1 to Everton in July 2017, during another friendly played in Tanzania.

Gor Mahia FC players believe their crunch tie against nine times English Premier League champions, Everton FC, at Goodison Park on Tuesday night will offer a great platform to be identified by scouts.

The head coach, Dylan Kerr, in September revealed that former Liverpool FC captain and current Rangers FC coach, Steven Gerrard, would attend the match to look for talent.
