Police are conducting investigations to establish the cause of death of a KRA official based in Eldoret who was found dead at his house in Kapsoya estate under unknown circumstances.
Francis Nyabuto body was discovered on Saturday morning after his neighbors alerted the police of a foul smell from the officer’s house.
Eldoret East police boss Richard Omanga confirmed the incident and said that it appeared the official had passed on several days ago.
“We are conducting investigations to establish the cause of his death,” Omanga said.
Police were forced to break through the door as the house was locked from outside.
The body of the deceased was found in the house covered in a blanket and the door locked from outside.
Nyabuto’s body had no visible marks of injuries.
Mr Nyabuto was the assistant regional commissioner for KRA in Eldoret.
