The La Liga giant’s manager Julen Lopetegui was sacked on Monday following a 5-1 thrashing to bitter rivals Barcelona.
And Solari, the Real Madrid Castilla boss, was handed temporary charge at the Bernabeu as the club line up a full-time successor.
The likes of Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino have been thrown into the running to take over at Los Blancos.
But among the rumours, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s name has also emerged as a possible candidate.
“I think Arsene Wenger would be a great choice, get him in with Xabi Alonso as your assistant,”pundit Dan Thomas revealed.
“Wenger is a great man manager.”
And Alejandro Moreno seemed to agree.
“If you listen and read to what some of the Real Madrid players are saying, they are hinting at the fact they need a players manager.
“A guy that can come in and give them freedom – Arsene Wenger can definitely do that.”
And fans seemed to agree.
“Give Wenger the Madrid job, he deserves a Champions League,” one comment read.
Another added: “Arsene Wenger with money will be unstoppable.”
