Do you believe Chelsea stars are subtly mocking Jose Mourinho’s three-fingered salute. I do. The Manchester United boss gave the action towards supporters when his side travelled to Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

The three-fingers symbolised the three Premier League titles he won with the Blues during his two spells in charge of the club.

And Chelsea are appearing to respond in their own cunning way – so their supporters believe.

It started when they tweeted out of GIF of midfielder Jorginho doing the same symbol alongside the caption “three hours to go” ahead of their win over Burnley.

Ross Barkley then got in on the action against the Clarets by scoring once and assisting two.

His involvement in three Chelsea goals meant the Blues saw the perfect opportunity to tease Mourinho yet again.

A picture of the England international holding three fingers in the air was accompanied with the caption: “Ross Barkley is the first Englishman to scored in three consecutive Premier League games for the Blues since Frank Lampard, back in 2013!”

And if that wasn’t enough even Ruben Loftus-Cheek got in on the three finger salute after scoring a hat-trick against BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

One Chelsea fan joked: “Ross getting in on the Mourinho salute.”

Another commented: “Oh no is getting worse than we first thought… first Jose. Then Loftus-Cheek now Barkley.

“The 3 finger Jose salute is getting bigger after each game.”

Is it?
