True Friend Indeed, Dennis Itumbi’s message minutes after Jacque Maribe’s release

Digital Advisor in the office of the president Dennis Itumbi clearly has been a friend in need to Jackie Maribe .He spoke minutes after his friend Jacque Maribe was granted bail.
In a post on his Facebook page, Itumbi who has always prayed for Maribe and publicly appeared in court in show of support thanked all who prayed for Maribe.

Itumbi went ahead to say that it did not matter how they prayed but God had answered the prayers and may Justice be done.

“Asanteni kwa maombi. Whether prayers were Loud or silent, God has answered the prayers…God favour each of you… May Justice like many waters flow…” read Itumbi’s post.

Jacque Maribe was released on Tuesday on Sh2 million bond.

His words come hours Itumbi in a statement, said that Maribe was planning to outline the pain of tens of remandees who have been locked up for years just because they could not afford the bail amount granted to them.

“May she get bail so that like she told me yesterday, she can ” try and end the pain of tens of remandees who are locked up for years because they could not afford bail amounts ranging from Shs. 3,000 to 10,000,” Itumbi stated.

The mother of one was released on Tuesday on a Sh2 million bond or a cash bail of Sh1 million.

Her fiancé Joseph (Jowie) Irungu has however been denied bail.

The prime suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani, Joseph ‘Jowie’ Irungu was  denied bail, meaning he will stay in jail for the entire period of the trial.
High Court James Wakiaga ruled that the prosecution had proved its case that Jowie was a flight risk with no known fixed abode or any assets in the country, and was likely to abscond court hearings.

In his ruling, the judge said that the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) had showed that Irungu as a male version of a “slay queen” or a woman eater.

While Maribe has a true friend ,Jowine on the other hand seems to be all alone.
