Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has vowed to try helping other remandees (who have remained behind bars for being unable to pay bail) something she plans on doing after her release. This comes as a revelation put across in Itumbi’s prayer for her ahead of her bail hearing.
This prayer was penned down to Maribe this morning by Itumbi, who is Maribe’s long time friend. Itumbi has survived endless trolls and openly shown his support for Maribe as well as justice as he puts it.
His intentions are clear although slightly misunderstood as Kenyans continue to claim that he is speaking from a point of obsession.
Ever since Maribe was arrested, this might have been long sleepless nights for a true friend who has been standing by her side as she faces this dark cloud.
The intentions of the news anchor , Maribe were shared by Itumbi who said that he had visited her earlier yesterday.
“May she get bail so that like she told me yesterday, she can ” try and end the pain of tens of remandees who are locked up for years because they could not afford bail amounts ranging from Shs. 3,000 to 10,000″

Itumbi also shared his sentiments saying that Maribe has been prosecuted more by the public media as opposed to the evidence that is in court.
“For my friend Jacque, I pray for Justice, that she may be sorrounded by lasting peace despite bearing the brunt of void accusation, mainly prosecuted through public media as opposed to real evidence in court.”
The most that Itumbi hopes for is that justice may prevail and that Maribe gets bail today, so that she can hustle again and bring up her child – Zahari, to achieve all his dreams, like she has always wanted to.
In the first weeks when she was taken in police custody many Kenyans accused her friends of abandoning her and following these accusations her friends have strongly given her the support she needs.
Maribe and her fiancee are expected to be presented in court later today.
