Wanyama to be offloaded?

Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is among four Tottenham Hotspur players linked with a move away from the North London Club in the January transfer window.

According to the Sun, Spurs are ready to take  offers for the Kenyan International, who has made 76 appearances in all competitions and might allow him to leave on a fee of about  £11 million.

The former Southampton man has not had a good 2017/18 season, but is slowly getting his groove back after struggling with the knee injury.

Other players listed on the exit list include Belgian International Mousa Dembele who has few months remaining on his contract, Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou. It might be difficult for Spurs to let Wanyama and Dembele leave at the same time.

Wanyama joined the English Premier League (EPL) in July 2013, when he signed for Southampton at a fee believed to be £12.5 million and became the first ever East African player to feature in the League. His first season was marred by injuries and he went on to make just 24 appearances at the club.

His second season was the best as he managed to score three goals as the Saints went on to finish seven on the EPL table. He then left the club after 97 appearances in all competition.

Wanyama joined his current club Tottenham in June 2016. In the first season he made 47 appearances, with 36 being League appearances where he scored three goals.
