Going nowhere! Why Uhuru is too young to retire

Members of Parliament and Mt.Kenya leaders  have expressed their concerns on the development Agenda led by Jubilee Government.

The MPs claim that the region has been neglected by  President Uhuru Kenyatta in his development agenda for the country. The leaders claim the amount of projects in the area are just low compared to other regions.

The leaders have said that they should be included in the Big Four Agenda , pushing for the countries development. The Mt. Kenya region leaders have always argued that they played a vital role in making sure that the Jubilee government remains in power.

Although the leaders have made a controversial statement saying that the President despite his neglect to the region say that the President is too young to retire from active politics.

The leaders want to push for the Agenda of the President still vying for the third term. The leaders who are silently pushing for constitutional review want the President to be in the ballot paper in 2022.

According to the current constitution the maximum period of presidency is only two terms. President Uhuru Kenyatta is serving his last term in the office.

According to the Jubilee merger agreement the President is expected to support The Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 presidential race.

The call by the Mt. Kenya members of Parliament come as President Uhuru has devoted all his focus on delivering on the Big Four Agenda to the Republic of Kenya. The President is all keen in fighting corruption in his government and has never expressed interest to vie for the third time which is unconstitutional.

Their call raises eyebrows on the fate of Jubilee in 2022 and the entire Mt. Kenya region politics. This comes as various leaders have expressed their interests including Moses Kuria, Kalonzo Musyoka , Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula. All are lead by the Deputy President William Ruto.

Raila Odinga political future right now remains unclear even as Gideon Moi continues to create political ties in his strong hold region of Nyanza.
