Pogba explains his bizarre penalty technique

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has explained his bizarre penalty taking technique which includes a stuttering run before taking a penalty as he, unfortunately, missed the spot kick in the 2-1 win over Everton.

Pogba took 28 steps in the build-up to the penalty against Everton which was saved by Jordan Pickford but luckily for him the rebound was kind on him as he tapped in the opening goal for Manchester United.

This was the second penalty that Pogba had missed this season form the spot after his penalty was saved against Burnley last month.

The Frenchman revealed the reason for his penalty technique, “I always try to destabilise the keeper. I always shoot like this this is and that’s how I take penalties. I might practice to change because the keeper starts to know what I am going to do.”

Pogba admitted that he was lucky to get the rebound after the penalty miss, “I was lucky with the penalty but most important is the goal went in it was good for us and for me. We had other chances but most important was the win.”
