Wakenya Msipanic; Ni bomb imbo

Some one is clearly trying to scare Kenyans after document titled ‘security brief’, alleged to have come form the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations was released issuing a terror alert in the Nairobi’s Central District. The National Government has however publicly declared that there is no such alert terming the document as fake.

“Please disregard this terror alert purporting to have come from the @NPSOfficial_KE and/or the @DCI_Kenya. Any information regarding serious security matters is communicated through the official pages of the security organs and other formal channels,” read a tweet from the National Government Communication Center.

The fake alert that was issued had suggested that there planned attacks in the CBD, specifically targeting the Times Tower building which hosts the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Treasury between October 28th, the date set aside for Kenya’s historic first direct flight to the US and November 4th.

The fake terror alert even went as far as naming Ahmed Harith Mahamoud as the man behind the planned attack saying that he had been conducting reconnaissance on the two buildings in the recent months. Harith apparently is an associate of Ahmed Imar Ali, the leader of Al-Shabaab cell in Nairobi’s Majengo Estate.

Kenyans can now take a breath in as the government has declared that the alert is fake.

Do you think someone is trying to jeopardize the Kenya to US direct flight?
