Why Rickross Wannabe Willy Paul Will Lead Many to Crisis and Not Christ

After parading bundles of Cash on social media, Singer Willy Paul has faced a backlash from Kenyans online with many questioning his spiritual anointing and constant calling.

Blogger Abraham Mutai has also weighed in on the ongoing circus surrounding the “Njiwa” hitmaker.

Mutai says that Christian Musicians can be known for their deeds and not for flossing around parading cash and wealth. He has also criticised Willy Paul’s music terming them as medium for promoting pornography and sexual content.

“Christian Musicians can be known by their deeds. This one, Willy Paul, Apart from selling soft Pornography in his music to sexually deprived christian youth, he is now copying Rick Ross, Akon, 50 cents et al. Trying to keep up with the secular world. Desperate!” wrote Mutai on Twitter

Willy Paul has constantly faced criticism from a section of Kenyans. It would be proper to say that he is loved and hated in equal measure. He has however defended his antics. He has constantly bashed those that criticize him terming them jealous of his success.

Willy has affirmed that Only God can judge in and not fellow humans like him.

Willy Paul’s music has completely changed. During his “Rabuka” and “Sitolia” days, the singer was apparently a darling to many. He was poised to be the next  Kenyan Mega Star, a fete he achieved. He went on to win various awards both locally and internationally only for him to later start beefing and doing songs people often referred to as  “twerk-uabudu”

Three years ago Poze beefed with EMB records president after  Bahati accused him of stealing his songs. He has also had issues with Tanzanian Star Harmonize

Bongo Flava singer Harmonize accused Willy Paul was being petty when he called him out for not promoting their song PiliPili remix this was the genesis of their beef.

From wedding songs to love songs, Poze has definately cut a niche for himself in this sector. From racking millions of Youtube views to bagging more endorsement deals, Willy Paul is no doubt a superstar.

A section of Kenyans just want him to go back to his earlier days, his earlier kind of music and vibe. Maybe, just maybe Willy Paul will be able to attract more souls to Christ but before then let’s enjoy some Njiwa.
