Why Mourinho is not ready to drop Lukaku

Underfiring Romelu Lukaku won’t be dropped against his former side Everton over the weekend, reveals Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Lukaku has netted just four goals this season, with his last coming on September 15 when United beat Watford 2-1 in a Premier League match. Despite the struggles, Mourinho says he will not be dropped for Marcus Rashford.

The Belgian has been heavily criticized for his poor form in front of the goal with Mourinho admitting that the forward is finding things hard on the pitch.

“Could I play Rashford there? But then I don’t have a winger because at this moment we are in this difficult situation,” said Mourinho.

“He (Lukaku) is a hard-working guy, is a good professional, but one day the goal will arrive and the confidence will be back,” he added.

The Red Devils have registered just two wins from the last eight matches since Lukaku found the back of the net.
