He then handed over his match-worn shirt, and in exchange for an orange-wrapped gift.

The exchange, as expected, was captured by a number of fans with their smartphones.

Mo Salah scored twice as Liverpool thrashed Red Star in their Champions League clash

Salah scored twice on a record-breaking night as Liverpool battered Red Star to get their last-16 hopes back on track.

After their defeat at Napoli in their previous game, Jurgen Klopp‘s side bounced back with his attacking trio again all delivering.

Many have said Mo Salah is not showing the form of last season - while that may be true, he is still a potent threat in front of goal

Jurgen Klopp reacts to Mohamed Salah becoming the fastest player in Liverpool history to score 50 goals for the club.

Salah made it 50 goals for the club while Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane also both hit the target.

Red Star, beaten 6-1 by Paris St Germain in their last outing and without away support as the club served the second of a two-match ban on travelling fans, posed little threat in a subdued atmosphere.

Yet Liverpool were still able to produce enough quality to comfortably pick up the three points and, with PSG and Napoli drawing 2-2, they now top the group with six points, one more than Napoli and two ahead of the French champions.

It was the Shaqiri who played a cute pass down the flank for Andy Robertson to run onto and his cross found Firmino for the opener in the 20th minute.

Firmino’s fast feet saw him shift the ball into space and his shot rippled the net via a deflection.

Switzerland star Shaqiri’s pass was the ball that opened up the space as he followed up on his assist for Salah’s winner against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Red Star’s chances of repeating their famous win here in 1974 looked unlikely already and that remains their only ever victory away against an English side.

They officially had no fans at Anfield last night after they were blocked from selling tickets because of a pitch invasion during their Champions League play-off win over Red Bull Salzburg back in August.

But there were the odd jeers for Kosovo-born Shaqiri which suggested some Serbs had made their way in.But in the end the hosts managd to bounce back to the winning lane.
