Revealed! Hazard, Wilian frustrating Chelsea striker

Ruud Gullit feels Spanish striker Alvaro Morata is being ignored by his team-mates because they don’t believe in him.

Morata started in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge at the weekend but once again proved ineffective.

And Gullit feels the former Real Madrid and Juventus star doesn’t have the trust of Hazard or Willian in particular.

“[Morata’s] team-mates don’t come into any positions where they create anything for him,” Gullit told beIN SPORTS.

“The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don’t trust him.

“But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked ‘where is Morata’, he wasn’t there. So they don’t trust him.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea defender David Luiz has opened up on the draw with United on Saturday.

The Brazilian felt the Blues did everything they could to try and get all three points.“We tried to win from the beginning of the game,” he said.

“We controlled the game with possession, trying to create some space to score some goals. They came with a plan just to defend and play on the counter-attack.

“I think in the first half it was just us who played. We could have done better by scoring the second goal to kill the game, but it is never easy to win in the Premier League, especially against a big opponent.

“It gave them a chance because we had only scored one goal and in the second half they came and scored a lucky goal with the ball touching a player and bouncing about.

“After they scored they had a bit more confidence, and it was a great game.

“This is the Premier League against fantastic teams, so we have to keep going and try to work hard.”

Chelsea return to action on Thursday in the Europa League against BATE Borisov.

The Blues have won their two previous matches in the competition so far this season.
