Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho in a post-match press conference after the 1-0 defeat to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League admitted that he is concerned by Romelu Lukaku’s goal drought.
Lukaku has now gone eight games without finding the back of the net for Manchester United with his last goal coming in the 2-1 win over Watford in mid-September.

The Belgian struggled against Juventus on Tuesday 23rd October and failed to exert any meaningful threat to Wojciech Szczęsny. Lukaku had scored 11 goals at this stage last season but soon after went for a seven-game goal drought.
When asked whether he is concerned by Lukaku’s goal drought, Mourinho replied“Yeah, No critics at all, a complete understanding the player is a fantastic professional that wants to give everything for the team but I have to agree his moment is not sweet. Not just with the goals that he is not scoring but also in his confidence, in his movement, in his touch, he is not linking the game well with the team. But he’s our striker and a good striker and a striker we believe in.”
