Stabbing becomes a menace in Secondary schools

A Form Two student was today charged in court for allegedly attempting to stab her fellow student in Embu. The girl appeared before Embu Senior Resident Magistrate, Jean Ndengeri and was charged with intention to commit a felony.

The students who reported the matter to the school administration said that the girl had reportedly told other students that she was going to harm her classmate. The knife was found tacked under the girl’s skirt.

The form two student denied the charge and was released on a bond of ten thousand Kenya shillings with surety of similar amount. According to sources, the carried a knife to school which she intended to use on stabbing her fellow student after they had a fight about body cream.

The case is expected to be heard on November 6, 2018.

Only five days ago, a form two student at Lugusi Boys Secondary in Kakamega North sub-county stabbed his colleague to death in a vicious attack after an argument that ended in a nasty scuffle in class before they were asked to go to the staff room by the teacher to face disciplinary action. The boy went into the staff room armed with a knife and stabbed his colleague to death.
