Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to his former manager at Manchester United, Alex Ferguson noting that the gaffer played a huge role in shaping his career.
Ronaldo is set to return to his stomping yard when Juventus take on Manchester United in a UEFA Champions League on Tuesday 23rd October at Old Trafford in a 10 PM Kick off.
This is the second time that Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford after playing and scoring against Manchester United back in 2013 when Real Madrid knocked out The Red Devils in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
Ronaldo termed his return as special as he hailed Ferguson, “It is special for me to return to Manchester.” said Ronaldo, who has scored five goals in 10 games since joining Juve.
Here I have many memories of victories and affection and in particular with Sir Alex Ferguson, to whom I send a big hug. He is a person who helped me so much.”
Ronaldo will be marking his return to the competition after getting a red card in the opening game against Valencia and missed the Young Boys clash.#
