Nostalgia has engulfed the Twitter streets as Kenya’s largest mobile network operator , Safaricom Public Limited Company celebrates 18 years.ย The company was formed in 1997 as a fully owned subsidiary of Telkom Kenya but later in May 2000, Vodafone Group PLC of the United Kingdom acquired a 40% stake and management responsibility for the company.
KOT took a trip down memory lane to Safaricom’s good old days.
