The two leaders have never seen eye to eye Passaris condemning Mike Sonko of underpinning her development plans for the city.

The new agreement for them to work together is an insight as The Former Governor Evans Kidero was recorded slapping the former Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh.

Their move has shown political maturity and their passion to deliver their pledges to people of Nairobi.

“I want to declare that I am ready to work with Sonko for the benefit of Nairobi residents. I have seen what you have done with our ECDE centers and the provision of free milk to nursery children. This is a tremendous development,” Passaris said.

Ms Passaris has also appealed to the City Hall boss to include her in the plans to transform Pumwani Maternity Hospital, a request which the county chief has gleefully accepted.

“I want to assure Esther Passaris that we are going to work together to help achieve our development agenda,” said Sonko in his response.

Ms Passaris has also supported Sonko’s move to suspend demolition of kiosks and houses in informal settlements saying the order from the Governor will benefit the common mwananchi.

The move is also geared to influence the appointment of the Deputy Governor for Nairobi as that position has been vacant for the longest time now.

Also this call comes as Sonko announced that he wont vie for the gubernatorial seat for Nairobi for the second time. Sonko termed the cartels in Nairobi are undermining his efforts to run the city and fulfill his pledges to the people of Nairobi.
