Meet Diamond Platinumz African Rival Artists

 

Below is a list of some of the African Artists who were competing with Diamond Platinumz under the category of the Best Male Artist of the year for the

1.WizKid

Celebrated Nigeria singer and songwriter famously known for his songs come closer which was a collabo between him and american star Drake another of his recent song that is totally mind blowing is ‘Soco’

Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, ‘one dance’, which reached number one in 15 countries.

He was ranked 5th on Forbes  and ChannelO’s 2013 list of the Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artists (wikipedia)

 

2. Davido

Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer

Some of his hit songs are ‘Aye’ and Skelewu…and some of his recent are Assurance and Flora my Flawa.

On June 24, 2018, Davido became the first African-based artist to have received his award on the BET awards main stage (Wikipedia)

3. Eddy Kenzo

Celebrated Ugandan Artist famously known for his 2014 song ‘Sitya Loss’

Kenzo was awarded as the best male artist in East Africa in the AFRIMMA 2018 awards and he remains to be his fan’s best.

Recently released an album titled ‘roots’

4. Fally Ipupa

Famously known as prince of Rhumba; he  is a Congolese singer-songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and producer.

Some of his songs include Bombe and Bafana love among others..

 

5. Mr Flavour

Nigerian singer ad rapper who is famous across Africa. Some of his songs that he is mostly known for are…Ololufe which is a collabo between him and nigeria’s beauty Chidinma.

These are just a few listed among others but clearly this was a tog competition. This is like a list of some of my favourite I would obviously get a hard time making a decision.

The  Tanzanian Artist Diamond Platinumz emerged as the wiinner under this category of   the best male artist of the year in the  Africa Entertainment Awards which was held on  October 20, New Jersey in the USA.

Apart from being the best male artist of the year, he also managed to bag the award for best collaboration of the year from a track he did with Omarion titled ‘Africa Beauty’.

The aim of the Africa Entertainment Awards is to use entertainment as a vehicle to support, celebrate, promote, and uplift the achievements and advancements of all Africans and Africans in the Diaspora through all entertainment forms.
They also use entertainment as a platform, to showcase an Africa that is united, self-sufficient, and willing and able to evoke social change that matters most in the communities of Africans and Africans in the Diaspora world-wide.
