Marcelo to quit Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s woes are set to deepen after Marcelo is reported to have handed in a transfer request as he looks to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

Marcelo was highly linked with a move to Juventus in the summer but talks looked to have broken down in the latter stages of the transfer window.

The move is further fueled with reports that his Brazilian compatriot Alex Sandro has refused to commit his future at Juventus as he demands an increase in wages.

Juventus are looking to either sell or loan him in the January transfer window after being a top transfer target to various English Premier League giants.

Marcelo is keen to join Juventus in the January transfer window for a fee reported to be in the region of €50-60M. The 30-year-old had earlier on in the season noted that he is happy at Madrid, “I am very happy at Madrid. People know what my situation is, I have a lot of years left on my contract, I am very happy here. For me it is the best club in the world.”
