Seek help to deliver Nairobi :Governor Sonko advised

Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris has said Governor Mike Sonko  needs assistance to deliver his manifesto.

Passaris  who was present during the 54th Mashujaa day celebrations has urged Sonko to seek wisdom in his leadership.

She also told the governor to build more hospitals and rehabilitation centers in Nairobi.

Governor  Sonko has hinted the possibility of being a one term governor.

Speaking during Mashujaa day celebrations in Pumwani grounds,Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has for the first time publicly spoken about a possibility of him not seeking a second term in office.

“Let them hate me for what I’m doing. It is not a must for me to become governor again. I will make sure I bring sanity to the county,” he said.

Sonko said he would continue fighting people who want to stall development and entrench corruption in Nairobi.

He asked the Director of Public Prosecutions and other agencies to crack the whip in Nairobi. “They must clean the county,” he said.

“Ufisadi imefanya Nairobi ikawa nyuma. Public money should remain public money. I do not have anything against anyone,” Sonko said.

Sonko has been in pressure to find a deputy governor recently Nairobi County women went to the streets to protest in the quest to have Governor Sonko appoint a woman as Nairobi’s Deputy Governor they petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to intervene following the continued absence of a Deputy Governor in Nairobi County.
