Kakamega County residents have honored Governor Wycliffe Oparanya’s call upon them to come out in large numbers and fill Bukhungu Stadium during the 2018 Mashujaa Day celebrations.
The County boss had on Friday taken to his twitter account to call upon his people to show hospitality to the guests on Saturday’s celebrations.
Oparanya who has also hosted Namibian President Hage Geingob who is a guest to President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his feelings for hosting such a great event for the first day ever.
One of the greatest gifts to the people of Kakamega County is getting the privilege to host a visiting head of State and moreso on Mashujaa Day. Kakamega is excited to host H.E. President Hage Geingob @hagegeingob of the Republic of Namibia. Join me in welcoming him to Kakamega.
