Revealed! What led to Mourinho-Pogba’ fight’

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has revealed that the heated spat between manager Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba was due to a misunderstanding over an Instagram video.

Mourinho and Pogba clashed a day after the defeat to Derby County in the third round Carabao Cup encounter, with the Frenchman sent away from training.

Pogba was dropped in the game and sat on the stands, pictured laughing with Pereira and Luke Shaw. Before the game there were rumors were circulating of Pogba being stripped off his vice-captaincy role which was confirmed after the defeat.

Pereira opened up about what sparked the burst up between Mourinho and Pogba in training, “We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video. Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before. The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that had happened. There was a mood about it. These things were out here in England. But I have nothing to do with it.”

The Brazilian midfielder insisted that Mourinho has a good relationship with his players, “The relationship is good, it’s cool. I have a very good relationship with him, with the players and he also has a good relationship with the players. We don’t feel that pressure coming from outside. Everyone says that he’s being sacked. We do not feel that. I don’t usually have any English media on my phone so I don’t get intoxicated with everything they say.”
