Revealsed: Two Man Utd players will leave due to lack of confidence

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has picked out two players that he believes Jose Mourinho could sell.

The former England star has been critical of United’s displays under Jose Mourinho this season, although he admits they are desperately missing a creative force in midfield to get the better of major rivalsManchester City,LiverpoolandChelsea.

Scholes recently claimed that he would like to see Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard or David Silva playing for the Red Devils.

Despite talks that he is set to agree a new deal at Old Trafford, Scholes believes that Anthony Martial may be sold as he struggles for opportunities, while Marcus Rashford could be forced out of the door for a similar reason.

“It’s difficult for Martial and Rashford to find some confidence because they come in for a game, they might not have the best game and then they’re out for three or four matches. It’s frustrating,” the United legend said.

“Martial and [Marcus] Rashford, two really talented players, they need to develop their confidence and then… it scares me that these really talented players will be sold and be brilliant for another club. I could see that happening with Martial.”

Manchester United are reportedly confident that they can put an end to speculation surrounding one of their forwards with a new deal.

Winger Anthony Martial faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford with his current deal expiring at the end of the season.

United do have an option to extend that deal until 2020, but it has been claimed that the Red Devils have been in talks with the Frenchman over a new contract since last year.

Tuttosport recently claimed that Inter director Pietro Ausilio is dreaming of bringing Martial to the San Siro, while their city rivals Milan have also been linked.

The former Monaco man has struggled to earn a regular starting spot under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, and it was suggested that the Portuguese was happy to sell the £58m man in the summer.

However, the Metro states that United have held “encouraging talks” with representatives of the 22-year-old and are “close to a breakthrough”.

Martial netted the equaliser in Man Utd’s 3-2 comeback win against Newcastle, however he could lose his spot in the XI when Mourinho’s side face Chelsea at the weekend.
