This words from Giroud will make Arsenal fans hate him forever

Olivier Giroud’s claims could anger Arsenal fans after labeling Chelsea the ‘top club in England’.

The Frenchman also dismissed rumours that he could be on his way out in the summer. Giroud joined the Blues from Arsenal in January but was linked with a quick return to France just a few months later.

However, the 32-year-old says this was never a realistic possibility in the summer transfer window.

Speaking to L’Equipe, Giroud said, β€œIt did not go as far as we could say. There was really a contact [from Marseille] last year, but nothing really concrete this summer.”

“I had just arrived at Chelsea, it was not the time to pack my bags again three months later. For me, Chelsea is the top club in England, the one that has won the most titles over the last ten years. I am where I wanted to be. So why leave?”

Giroud spent six years at the Emirates, winning three FA Cups with the north London side.
