Lacazette takes a jibe at Arsenal and EPL fans

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has taken a swipe at Premier League fans.

The French international has rediscovered his form at the Emirates, however, he is not entirely happy. Lacazette says he misses Ligue 1 where he made his name with Lyon and has now compared Premier League fans to the France supporters. The 27-year-old has claimed the Premier League simply does not match to the top tire in France when it comes to atmosphere.

Speaking to Le Progres, Lacazette said, “I miss Ligue 1’s atmosphere. In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters. There’s a better atmosphere in French stadiums.”

The former Lyon man has formed a lethal attack alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang since he shifted out wide to accommodate him. But Lacazette was full of praise for his ‘brother’ Aubameyang after both scored in the 5-1 thrashing of FuFulham before the international break.

“It is good, he is like my brother. We talk every day and we love working together. Today in front of the goal we scored two goals each, which is good,” he added.

Unai Emery men have registered nine successive wins in all competitions, and now are just two points behind leaders Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

After the international break, the north London side will be up against Leicester City on Monday 22nd.
