According to detectives, they arrested a police officer, Constable Kevin Ndosi who allegedly abducted a man in Athi River and demanded for 300,000 Kenya shillings from the man’s wife as ransom. This is not the first time the police officer has been caught on the wrong side of the law. About a month ago, Mr. Ndosi was arrested for robbing a Mali citizen, Mr. Bathily Abdoulaye of goods and cash worth approximately 5.3 million shillings. The officer was later indicted after the incident.
Today, a tweep by the name Amina, shared her scary encounter with the flying squad who she says pointed a gun at her along Lang’ata road.

The flying squad was earlier this year dismantled and disarmed. The officers were asked to return all police property in their possession including firearms, uniforms and handcuffs. The decision to dismantle the unit was made after there emerged suspicions that officers from the flying squad unit were linked to armed robberies and carjackings.
