PHOTOS: Bobi Wine’s 5 day visit to Kenya

Bobi Wine’s visit to Kenya was made known after an announcement by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino who revealed that Bobi Wine will be accompanied by a delegation of young Ugandans MPs on Wednesday.

“I wish to take this opportunity to announce to the nation that Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi will be leading a delegation of young Ugandan MPs to Kenya this Moi Day for a five-day visit,”

“This visit is in response to an invitation I sent as Secretary General of the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association out of profound respect for the role Hon. Kyagulanyi plays in inspiring young people across the continent,” he said.

On Wednesday night, the two were hosted by Jeff Koinange on the JKLive on Citizen TV where they extensively discussed the youth in African politics. During his tour , Bobi Wine visited the Kenya Parliament on the invitation of his host Babu Owino.

Thursday evening, Mr George Kegoro and the Kenya Human Rights Commission hosted a dinner for Cde @HEBobiwine and  in honor of their efforts to advance the agenda of youth inclusivity in regional politics. The dinner came after the visit of the MP to the Kenyan Parliament.

On Friday, Bobi Wine called upon Ugandan people who live in Kenya and Kenyans to join him in singing songs of freedom and have a talk on their country. An event that was held at KCB sports club Thika road and Organized by Ugandans in Kenya Association.

Watu wa Uganda wote wanaoishi na kufanya kazi Kenya, let’s catch up tomorrow morning as we talk about our country and sing some songs of freedom. Wandugu wetu from Kenya, feel free to join in.

The same evening, the Ugandan MP was hosted on the 10 over 10 show on Citizen TV.

On saturday, which is today, Embakasi East legislator Babu Owino will be hosting his Ugandan counterpart Bobi Wine for a rally at Jacaranda grounds. According to Babu, the rally is set to begin at exactly 1pm. Babu however did not reveal the agenda of the rally. He announced the rally on his Facebook page.

Sources available online also revealed that Uganda’s Member of Parliament representing Kyadondo East; Bobi Wine  finally  meet his  US lawyer Robert Amsterdam in Nairobi at side lines of his Kenya tour.

The USA lawyer renowned for championing the people power red ribbon in Thailand came to the limelight of Ugandans  when Political Sergeant  Bobi Wine was imprisoned at a military barrack in Makindye with allegations emerging from different people that the Uganda’s Ghetto President was tortured by Uganda’s security forces .

His lawyer is said to have been banned by the Ugandan government authorities when he wanted to visit his client in Uganda.

Bobi Wine is a leader that has received a lot of praise from Kenyans after his arrest in Uganda. Perhaps he has got a huge following within the country for his unashamed fight for justice and liberty for his country.
