Harambee stars have portrayed optimism ahead of tomorrow’s match against the Ethiopian team. The match is set to be held at Kasarani Stadium and will kick off af 4pm.
Speaking during an interview, Harambee stars captain had urged Kenyans to offer their support by making themselves available to watch the match tomorrow evening. He also noted that he will give full commitment to the game.
“It’s tough coming from an injury but I’m hoping to be fully recovered in the coming weeks, I’m promising to give my best on Sunday.” ~Victor Wanyama.
“With the crowd behind us from the first to the last minute we will do something…”We will fight to the end and see what happens, it’s a big match” he said
President of the Football Kenya Federation Nick Mwendwa also affirmed the optimism “The game needs some luck… I am positive we are going to showcase a great performance…”We want to make sure that every time Kenya has a home game, it becomes a festival, a great place to celebrate… We are working hard to take Kenya to AFCON in 2019” he said “Kenya has never been in the Olympic qualifiers, we have to do it”
He also went ahead to give details of tomorrows match. “Gates will be open by 9:00am, there will be serious entertainment and plenty of food… We want Kenyans to enjoy game. We will be wearing red tomorrow- Let’s make it a festival”
“When the free tickets are over we will lock the stadium… We are requesting supporters to walk in with small Kenyan flags… we will only lock the stadium after we reach 60,000…There must be order, we must behave well”
Sebastian Migne the coach to Harambee stars also remains focused on the match and says that he believes his players will give their best.
“I can’t promise a win for Harambee Stars, I’m not a magician but I know my players will give their best.” he said
