KOT react as Obado appears in court on second bail attempt

Kenyans have reacted  to a question posed by one of the media houses asking whether Governor Obado will today be granted bail. This is the governors 2nd bail attempt following his arrest over Sharon Otieno’s murder case.

As reported by Citizen Digital, On October 8, Judge Lessit had directed that Obado, Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero be detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison until Friday.

They were charged afresh with two counts of murder after the court allowed the prosecution to amend the charge sheet and include the murder of Sharon Otieno’s baby.

State lawyer Alexander Muteti told the court that life begins at conception, hence, the infant’s life was also cut short during the gruesome murder. The infant has since been buried. The three pleaded not guilty to the two counts of murder, as the court allowed consolidation of their cases into one.

A section of Kenyans are linking Obado’s arrest to the Migori elections and therefore they think that since the elections are over Obado stands a chance of being granted bail. Obado, on the previous hearing of his case was denied bail forcing him to spend extra days in remand.

Obado will be released the judicially system in this country is questionable and the accountability of most of its staff is still questionable.
Who will rescue this nation.?
