Hazard’s Ultimate Desire is The Ballon d’Or

The Chelsea midfielder said during the World Cup that “it might be time to discover something different”, with the 27-year-old linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Hazard has less than two years on his Chelsea contract and said earlier this week that he was torn about whether to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge or pursue a move to the Bernabeu.

Hazard was linked to Real Madrid at the start of the season after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club to Juventus. He was considered as a perfect match to help fill the gap that was left by the Portugal international star who is currently facing allegation of rape.

Hazard who has shown his football claws has shown his interest for this prestigious award which he feels with his current form of play he can easily scope it.

The last ten winners of the Ballon d’Or have been based in Spain, and when asked whether he needed to move there to be considered the best in the world, he said: “That’s why I want to go – maybe.”

Hazard has considered the move to Spain would place him on the same wavelength with Messi who is currently the Spain star and Luka Modric have the high chances of scoping the Ballon d’Or.

Cristiano who has won the Ballon d’Or moved from Manchester United, Gareth Bale who is also the contender and Luka Modric both moved from Tottenham Hotspurs in the English Premier League. Hazard is optimistic that if he moves he will have the highest chances of scooping the award.

EPL has more players who are nominated for the same award including Paul Pogba of Manchester United, Kun Aguero, Kevin DeBruyne of Manchester city and Harry kane of Tottenham who won the golden boot during the Russia World Cup competition which Frances emerged the winners after 19 years of dry-spell.

However, when pressed on whether he would consider leaving Chelsea in January, he replied: “No.”

Hazard has enjoyed a prolific start to the season, scoring eight goals in 10 matches for Chelsea, and responded “yes” when questioned on whether he thought he was the best player in the world.

Hazard has had a perfect start for the season under Sarri having been involved in almost every win Chelsea has achieved so far. In the English Premier League , Hazard has proven to be among the top talented.

But he admits he can still improve, saying: “You can always improve in football. More goals, more assists.

“The team is helping me a lot, but I can improve, for sure.”
