The aftermath of the 2017 general elections has turned to be what people didn’t expect.
Prior to the elections it was a two horse race between NASA and JUBILEE After a long period of wrangles and meetings the NASA principals came to an agreement and decided to let Raila Odinga try it once more with the rest solid behind him.
This meant that NASA had 4 solid regions behind them…Raila had the whole nyanza region behind him, Kalonzo represented Ukambani, Mudavadi and Wetangula brough in Western and finally Joho whom jubilee itself blindly promoted to the rank of a kingpin brought in the whole Coastal region.
Other senior leaders included Governor Josphat Nanok who brought in the Pastoral communities.
With all these developments in the political field it was fast bringing a picture of the whole country against the mount Kenya people(kikuyus) and the Kalenjin nation whose tribal kings had merged their political parties to form the Jubilee alliance party in the race to statehouse.
The plot thickened further when the business mogul who was the jubilee financier Jimmy Wanjigi joined forces with the NASA coalition.
Panick swept across the jubilee camp as NASA was getting more strong this was evident when the Raila team said Hassan must go and he indeed left anniversary towers being replace with Wafula Chebukati as the IEBC chair.
This happened despite the government military machinery and their stand.
At one time the president was quoted saying “sasa mnataka nifanye nini jameni” sources revealed that at this time he was ready to quit the presidency because of the pressure he was receiving from the opposition.
That is when William Samoei Arap Ruto came in. He offered Uhuru super support taking the role of the president’s political advisor.
It was Ruto running almost all government ministries and top agencies.. he was the sole plotter on the way forward to retain their seats during the general elections.
Of course this didn’t augur well with mama Ngina Kenyatta who complained to the mount Kenya Mafia and elders that their seat was being taken to a distant land.
This the only time that Uhuru came back to claim his powers after Ruto had suppressed the opposition pressure. He managed to put in place an IEBC team that was already compromised that is he bought the then IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba who was incharge of tendering the elections materials.
After ensuring that all was well is when Ruto made Uhuru promise that he could support him after the second term in office something that Uhuru readily agreed.
As planned, the election was rigged and Jubilee found their way back to office despite the NASA numbers.
But then as somebody said kings never make their king makers kings The NASA battalion swore not to surrender their victory up-to arranging a mockery swearing ceremony after a court process had failed.
The state was tense with David Ndii coming up with a map that was meant to divide Kenya into two. But then the worst and unexpected happened the false Joshua betrayed his people to the Egyptians with what has come to be known as the handcheque.
The breaking news took everybody by storm.. not even the so called political analysts could predict what was to come next.
As obvious Raila only joins where he wants to scuttle, he managed to convince Uhuru with the royal families narrative and that’s where WSR’s agony began.
He was displaced from the prince seat he was occupied, the ship was sinking but then he well knew no more trust he distanced himself from Kenyatta and watched in silence to see their next move, not even the provocation from central Kenya that they didn’t could make him utter a word.
What Uhuru was forgetting is that Ruto had his kinsmen working at the office of the president led by Itumbi who was later suspended from statehouse after leaking the referundum plan that saw Uhuru visit Retired president Moi, with other several visits following between members of the Kenyatta, Odinga and Moi families.
This made out of Ruto out of desperation want to see Moi which failed after a two hours wait and was publicised on the leading Media papers and social media to make Ruto look desperate and panicked but this enlightened him the more forcing him to go back to the drawing board.
He started invading the NASA battalion to fish followers and he succeeded after fishing Governor Nanok after which he landed in Makueni to fish one of the fast rising opinion makers from Ukambani.
He then proceeded to coast and brought in Raila’s liteunants including the most vocal Aisha jumwa.
The latest to bring on board is one of his worst critics during their first term in power the famous Mohamed Ali of Jicho pevu.
When the referundum calls were publicly made, he decided to come out and strongly oppose knowing that it was not favouring him.
That’s when the royal families battalion decided to set stage for onother political showdown to gauge Ruto’s strength. His advisors came in to tell him he wasn’t ripe yet nor was it advisable to expose himself to the enemies this early so, also by storm Ruto surprised everybody by giving in to the referundum.
Right now everybody in the enemies camp is confused, they don’t know whether to continue with the referundum or postpone it.
At the moment it’s Ruto who is laughing at everybody as he is enjoying the confusion.
Meanwhile his coastal region tour is gaining more followers.
It must be remembered that it’s Ruto who helped Raila “win” the violent 2007 elections.
