Citizen TV Journalist Jacque Maribe momentarily sobbed in court when she was presented at Milimini law courts alongside Joseph Irungu for the hearing of the murder case of Monica Kimani.
An Emotional Maribe, was captured on camera using her fingers to wipe tears while she was staring at the floor, she sat barely a meter away from the main suspect Irungu.
On Tuesday the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji ordered the prosecution of Maribe and Irungu with murder charges
In his statement, the DPP affirmed that he had reviewed the evidence and there was satisfactory cause of action to warrant criminal prosecution against the two (Joseph Kuria Irungu alias Jowie and Jacqueline Wanjiru Maribe).
“I have independently reviewed the evidence so far on record and am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution against the following individuals, for the offense of murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code,” read part of the statement.
The two who are the main suspects in Monica Kimani’s murder case are at Milimani law courts, where they will be charged with murder.
