Kenyans on Twitter led by Activist Boniface Mwangi have blasted Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for failing to arrest Members of Parliament who were bribed Ksh. 10,000 each by Sugar barons to cover them up in the case of the contraband sugar that had loomed the country.
This followed an information from EACC that it had secured a conviction of Mr. Stephen Omoro, a clinical officer at Kisumu East District hospital for Corruptly Soliciting for a benefit of Kshs25,000 as an inducement to facilitate the availability of blood for transfusion to a patient.

EACC received a reply from Boniface Mwangi who also contested for Starehe parliamentary seat in the pas 2017 polls, challenging the commission to have corrupt MPs arrested and probed before disseminating any information on corruption to the public.
Tweet us when you jail those politicians who were bribed Sh10,000 by sugar barons. They even admitted on national TV that they were bribed. https://t.co/JSaxFz3SLq @EACCKenya since you’re going after small fish, let us know when you start jailing the big fish who steal billions. https://t.co/Oa7mKwbOGe

The accused MPs were in a committee that was investigating the contraband sugar scandal where they allegedly received bribes from sugar barons so that they can’t expose them.
