TV girl Jacque Maribe was all smiles as she conversed with her father, Mwangi Maribe at the Milimani Law courts.
Mr Maribe has been at his daughter’s side through out the ordeal and has described her as a “disciplined” woman who has worked hard to get where she is at in her career.
Speaking to a local daily, the Buruburu pastor said that Jacque’s only mistake was “falling in love.”
The journo met Jowie in January and quickly got engaged in June at an event streamed live on Instagram.
Mr Maribe also disclosed that his daughter was going to leave Jowie before he tried committing suicide at their Royal Park apartment.
“She asked Irungu to return her car keys and ATM card. Even when they went back to the house, Jacque threw some of his clothes out. The man threatened to kill himself after Jacque said she would leave him. He borrowed a gun and shot himself,” he stated.
A kenyan bloggger who took to the internet to condemn her father for poor parenting has been met with fury by fans who disagree over the remark.
This is not a father. This is a PIMP. Should have been stricter and offer proper guidance to the daughter. https://t.co/uyDxlQayaI

As parents we do our best to bring up our children the best way we can. At some point they will make their own decisions that i may disagree on but either way its upon them. Does that make me a pimp? You are a parent. This is completely out of order.

Being a strict parent and providing “proper” guidance is not a guarantee that the children will turn out well.

hey @RobertAlai you can’t really blame a father for mistakes made by a grown up child, on this I disagree with your careless sentiments. We should celebrate the father for being there even when he’s got no reason to support the errand daughter.

DPP Noordin Haji in the morning ordered that Maribe and her fiance Joe Irungu aka Jowie be charged with murder of Monica Kimani after reviewing the evidence gathered by detectives.
“I am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution. I have therefore directed that they be immediately arraigned before the High Court and charged accordingly,” Mr Haji stated.
