Dennis Itumbi Now Prays for ‘friend’ Jacque Maribe

Dennis Itumbi has come out to publicly pray for his friend Jacque Maribe.

According to the State House’s secretary of Digital, Innovations and Diaspora Communications, Maribe who has been accused of killing Monica Kimani and equally deserves justice in the serious case she is facing.

Itumbi posted on Twitter, sending his thoughts and prayers to Jacque Maribe, minutes after Justice Jessie Lessit ordered for the accused, Jacque and her fiance Joe Irungu, to be remanded at Lang’ata Women’s Prison and Industrial Area Prison respectively.

Itumbi’s message will breath a sigh of relief for Jacque who has been forsaken by friends and colleagues at this time when she really needs their moral support.

Only her family, was there for her at the High Court on Tuesday. None of the colleagues whom she had partied with and enjoyed merry moments together has come out publicly to offer moral support.

Her employer Citizen Tv, has also thrown her in the gutter, as they have totally black out the fact that she was their employee in the media.

Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji ordered Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu, popularly known as Jowie, to be charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Monica was found with her hands and legs tied, mouth gagged and throat slashed. Her body was deposited in a bathtub at her apartment in Kilimani, Nairobi.

Maribe and Irungu were arrested in connection with the killing, hence, their arraignment on Tuesday. They did not take a plea since the TV anchor is yet to undergo a mental assessment. They’ll be remanded until October 15.

The law states that any person who conspires with any other person to kill any person, whether that person is in Kenya or elsewhere, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for14 years.

The law also states that any person who counsels or procures another person to commit the offence may be charged with the same offence.

A conviction of counselling or procuring the commission of murder attracts the same consequences as a conviction for the offence.

Maribe has been implicated in Monica’s murder by her conduct and association with prime suspect ‘Jowie’
