Obado to remain behind bars after facing another murder count

Migori county governor Okoth Obado who appeared before Justice Jessie Lessit alongside his two aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero at Milimani Law Courts has faced a blow after he was charged afresh with two counts of murder.

Obado was on Monday charged with the murder of Sharon Otieno and the unborn infant she was carrying at the time of her gruesome murder.

Obado who has been in detention for the past 10 days has been ordered to be detained again until Friday October 12 when the court will rule for his bail application.

On Friday he applied for another application citing deterioration of his health after being admitted at Kenyatta national hospital.

Justice Lessit also ruled that his two aides who also face murder charges appear in Court on Friday for a ruling into their bail application.
