Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is the right man to take Manchester United to another level, according to Jeff Sterling.
The sports journalist and sports television presenter thinks Wenger has all that it takes to replace the underfire boss Jose Mourinho.
Earlier on, reports emerged that Mourinho was going to face the axe but later on, Sky Sports rubbished the claims labelling them “nonsense”.
Former Arsenal player Paul Merson also supported Jeff’s idea of hiring Arsene Wenger who is without a job since leaving Arsenal in the summer.
Merson said, “Seriously, that’s not the worst idea in the world. You’ve got to look at what Wenger did. You don’t have to go out and buy £70m to £80m players with some of the gems he’s got over time. It’s not a bad shout. Sometimes you just need a fresh start.”
Mourinho’s side will be taking on Newcastle United on Saturday 6th aiming to bounce back to winning ways after four games without a win in all competitions.
