Odinga’s Thursday schedule in Ayacko’s election campaigns

ODM Party leader Raila Amolo Odinga will on Thursday and Friday be in Migori County to campaign for party’s candidate in the October 8 Migori Senatorial by-election, Ochilo Ayacko.

Odinga is expected to kick off his campaigning day at Rongo at around 10:00 am then Awendo at 11:00 am.

He will then head to Uriri at 12:30pm before proceeding to Nyatike at 2:00pm.

His Party says that he will talk to his people as he campaigns for Ayacko, the party Senatorial candidate.

Odinga’s allies led by ODM Deputy Party leader and Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho have been in the area since Monday campaigning for their candidate.

Ayacko is facing a stiff competition from Federal Party’s Eddy Oketch who is Governor Okoth Obado’s preference.

Several Odinga defectors led by Lawyer Miguna Miguna have been seen campaigning for Oketch.

Obado is still in detention for Sharon Otieno’s Murder case and will be due in court on Monday, the same day scheduled for senatorial by-elections in Migori.

The senate seat was declared vacant after the demise of Senator Ben Oluoch in June 2018.
