Obado set to face a major blow on October 8

Migori Governor Okoth Obado will face a blow in the upcoming October 8, 2018 senatorial by-elections.

Obado, who is in detention for Sharon Otieno’s murder case will see his preferred candidate Eddy Oketch struggle against ODM Party’s Ochilo Ayacko.

Oketch who is vying on a Federal Party ticket was endorsed by governor Obado who is believed to have a large following in Migori.

The by-election date is coincidentally scheduled the same day Obado will be arraigned in Court.

This will make him suffer a major blow as his opponent’s team have camped the area to drive the masses towards their candidate.

On Thursday and Friday ODM Party leader Raila Odinga will be on ground campaigning for Ayacko.

The Party allies led by its party leader and his deputy, Mombasa governor Hassan Ali Joho have been in the County moving the masses to vote in Ayacko.

Earlier on, the Party’s Secretary general Edwin Sifuna and Siaya senator James Aggrey Orengo had camped in Migori to ensure that their candidate wins.

On Tuesday, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho moved around the county with masses to have Ayacko Voted in come October 8.

Joho has been in the area since Monday after he traveled along with Suna East Member of Parliament Junnet Mohamed.

He has posted on his official twitter account saying how the are unstoppable.
