William Kabogo has come out to defend his counterpart Migori Governor Okoth Obado.

Kabogo argued that the governor who was charged with the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno is innocent until proven guilty.

The former Kiambu county boss noted that Obado has been crucified and condemned yet he has not been given a chance to be heard.

“My friend governor Obado has already been condemned for the murder yet he is still innocent until when the court hearing the case will prove that he committed the crime,” said Kabogo during Citizen TV’s JKL show on Wednesday.

The Kiambu politician said that the right to innocence until proven guilty cannot be taken away from any accused person.

The former Governor asked Kenyans to give the court time to handle the case.

Obado on Monday pleaded not guilty to killing Sharon Otieno.

He is being remanded at the Industrial Area Remand Prison awaiting his bail ruling set for today (Thursday) before Milimani High court Judge Jessie Lessit.

Obado was charged alongside his Personal Assistant Michael Juma Oyamo.
