Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he is not yet retired from the field of football management.

The 68-year-old Frenchman left Arsenal after 22 years in charge in May, having failed to qualify for the Champions League for the second year running.

However, he was linked with several jobs over summer, including Real Madrid and PSG.

Speaking to ‘L’Est Republicain’, Wenger said: “I can confirm that I haven’t retired.”

“However, for the moment, I have not really thought about that because I fixed myself something whereby in the first few months I would not take any decisions.

“So I have not been too worried about that. It is not even going through my head.”
