Kenya Railways has today announced the celebration of the holing through of the Ngong tunnel saying that today marked an important milestone.

The tunnel, according to Kenya Railways is the first on Kenya SGR network. Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President; Dennis Itumbi also shared the new developments of the SGR project on his twitter page and indicated that Kenya now has the longest tunnel in East Africa following the completion of the Ngong tunnel.
