Ezekiel Mutua : 24 legacy series is a reckless piece of movie.

Ezekiel, who has been on the frontline to condemn sexual content on television, citied that ‘If people want to screen the homosexual film in their houses that’s fine. We are watching to see which public theatre will exhibit it without the Board’s approval’.

He, further asked What pleasure, pray, does a person of a sane mind find in watching girls having sex with other girls.

The film Rafiki (friend) was banned for promoting lesbianism but Justice Wilfrida Okwany lifted it for seven days, during which she has allowed it to be screened to willing adults.

Ezekiel Mutua has been on the headline a while when he threatened American television company Fox for Using a footage that was sourced from CCTV footage in westgate  terror attack.

The American television channel, Fox News, has since  apologised for using footage on the Westgate Mall terror attack in its spy thriller, 24: Legacy. This was after angry Kenyans took to Twitter to express their anger over the channel’s use of the footage, terming it insensitive. The 24: Legacy episode depicts an agent describing a fictional storyline about a potential terrorist attack in Egypt where more than 200 people died, “including 18 Americans”.

The Kenya film commission later demanded that the video be immediately pulled down from YouTube, as it was in contravention of content distribution laws applicable in Kenya.

KFCB Chief Executive Ezekiel Mutua said the Board would file a formal complaint against what he termed as reckless and unprofessional attack on the dignity and sensibilities of Kenyans, and would pursue all available channels to ensure that the producers face the necessary sanctions.

The Board later launched further investigations on the matter to establish how the footage was obtained from Kenya, and whether due process was followed.

“The Board regarded the movie as a repulsive, insensitive and reckless piece of art that heartlessly evoked the painful memories of the tragic terror attack. It flies in the face of basic considerations of human dignity, in total disregard of the feelings of the victims and their families. Further, the movie goes against the Code of Ethics for the Practice of Journalism in Kenya. It is not only an inaccurate and false narrative of the Westgate terror attack, but also a callous piece of entertainment that demeans Africans and Kenyans in particular,” Mutua says in a statement.

Kenyans were outraged after the American Network aired real footage of the Westgate Attack of the episode  24 Legacy.
