Julian Nagelsmann set to make Champions league history

Hoffenheim head coach Julian Nagelsmann will become the youngest ever Champions League manager today in the history of the competition, when his side takes on Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 31 year old German will also at the same time be making his debut in the European competitions.

Nagelsmann enjoyed a succesful season last year bringing Hoffenheim to runners up in the Bundesliga.

He is one of the most promising coaches in Europe, and due to this, he will be joining the Bundesliga club RB Lepzig next season, after a two year stint at Hoffenheim.

However it remains to be seen how  he is going to fare in his very first  European adventure with Hoffenheim.

It is also amazing how he has got  Hoffenheim at this level despite consistently losing the teams key players to other football clubs.

Here is the combined Champions League XI who are older than Nagelsmann

Neuer, Alves, Godin, Ramos, Felipe Luis, Mdric, David Silva, Messi, Robben, Ronaldo, Suarez.
