Why President Uhuru has been strongly urged to talk to Museveni

Former Nyakite MP Tom Ogede Omondi Anyanga is now urging President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold talks with his Ugandan counterpart President Yoweri Museveni.

This follows an incident where Ugandan security officers pulled down a Kenyan flag at Migingo Island.

Anyanga now wants President Kenyatta to take drastic action against Ugandan government following the pulling down of the Kenyan flag on Migingo Island.

He has cited that  it is just a matter of time before Kenyans are kicked out of the Island.

There has been disputes that have lasted for long over this Island which is surrounded with water rich in fish.

Kenyans have always wanted the lasting disputes to be solved by the two presidents, with Anyanga being the latest to comment on the issue.

Some Kenyans have been seen urging the president to order Kenyan army to raid the place and take back the Island which they believe is theirs.

There is an agreement that was signed by President Kenyatta and Museveni to have the island guarded by police from both countries but this seems not to be in effect at all, now that it is only Ugandan flag allowed to fly at the island.

Pesident Museveni’s tweet seems to be a reply to kenyans reacting over Migingo as he notes that Ugandans put in more efforts only to offer jobs to other citizens.
